Well Williiam will be 3 months on Friday and he is really getting big!  He is about 17 lbs and almost 26 inches long.  He is smiling and talking a ton (check out the latest photos!) and is starting to giggle!  He rolled over front to back last Friday as well, although hasn’t made  a repeat performance quite yet!  He is really a lot of fun these days and he doesn’t want to miss a thing (just like Daddy!)!  He is also close to sleeping through the night, but is at least starting to give Mommy some longer stretches of sleep!

July was a busy month.  On the 13th, William was baptized.  Aunt Andrea and Uncle Fraser are his godparents.  He didn’t seem to mind having his hair washed in church!  We also ventured on our first road trip two weekends ago to dogsit Tara at the Court cottage, and  he was awesome in the car.  The next big travel adventure will be a 2 hour plane ride out east in September to meet all of Mommy’s family!  We are looking forward to lots more fun as he continues to grow!!

On May 1st, 2008 at 5:01pm we welcomed William Ian MacDonald into our life, weighing 9lbs, 1 oz and 22 inches long! Changing our lives completely (for the better, with the exception of sleep deprivation), we are so happy to have been given this beautiful baby boy. He really is a good baby and we can figure him out most of the time! He is almost 4 weeks old, and is quickly gaining weight! Last checkup showed a weight gain to over 11 pounds! Now that we are getting into a groove, we look forward to seeing more people and having lots of adventures! Stay tuned here for photos and updates (sleep and time permitting)!!

So we started off with good intentions, but we just couldn’t pull off anymore posts while we were away!  We had a great time and experienced lots of amazing places.  Now we are back to reality and slowly but surely posting our photos and updating the site.  Stay tuned!

After a relaxing day at sea yesterday to rid us of the last bit of jetlag, we are enjoying another hot beautiful day! Santorini is beautiful. We made the decision to leave the cruise excursions again and go it alone. We drove the full island in our Smart Car and found all of the hot spots! We are now enjoying a beer and downloading our pics while we wait for the spectacular Santorini sunset!

Today we enjoyed the wonderful city of Dubrovnik.  The weather was amazing..again.  The city walls are completely walkable and provide some of the best viewpoints of the town and waterscape.  We enjoyed local beers with seafood snacks during the afternoon at the beach.  The water in Dubrovnik is known to be the clearest and cleanest in the Mediterranean.

Venice has been great.  Hot humid days have helped us adjust to the heat that we are going to continue to enjoy during our trip.  The city was amazing, and during our three days we were able to do much of the intricate maze of restaurants, shopping and architecture.  Internet on the boat is fairly slow .. so we will try to get a few photos up. No promises

We had a great afternoon in Frankfurt amongst the WorldCup enthusiasts, and are now on our second day in Venice and aboard our ship the Millenium.  Look forward to pics and updates once we leave port tomorrow!

Ian and Val

It is true - Val and Ian were married on Friday June 16th!  Exactly as we wanted - small, intimate and a huge SURPRISE!
